It is estimated that within 5 years the NDIS will have funded more than 22 billion dollars to 500,000 Australians a year. For NDIS funding, the participant must meet one of the following disabilities:<\/p><h3>List A<\/h3><ul><li>Intellectual disability<\/li><li>Autism<\/li><li>Cerebral palsy<\/li><li>Genetic conditions which result in permanent and severe intellectual and physical impairments<\/li><li>Lysosomal storage disorders, such as Gaucher disease or Niemann-Pick disease<\/li><li>Mucopolysaccharidoses like Hurler syndrome or San Filipino syndrome<\/li><li>Patau syndrome<\/li><li>Rett syndrome<\/li><li>Spinal Muscular Atrophies<\/li><li>Spinal cord or brain injuries resulting in paraplegia<\/li><li>Permanent blindness<\/li><li>Permanent bilateral hearing loss<\/li><li>Deaf-blindness<\/li><\/ul><h3>List B<\/h3><p>These are conditions, for which further assessment might be necessary or needed.
