Core support helps these individuals by helping them take part in a community or going to social\/recreational events. These events often take place in a centre or a community setting. Some examples for core supports are:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Encouraging individuals to attend development courses\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting you to join a social group\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Helping them taking an outing, going on a vacation or encouraging them to go on a holiday camp<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting them to go see a movie or theatre<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Encouraging them to start exercising more or joining a sporting club<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capacity Building Supports<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capacity building support, unlike core support, funds for tuition fees, art\/skill classes, coaching for support and activities like such in order to build the individual&#8217;s independence and help them learn new skills.\u00a0 It should also be noted that as with many NDIS supports, it\u2019s important that the support the individual wants is reasonable and necessary.
