Evelyn Simmons is the owner of\u00a0Gemini Transportation Services\u00a0\u2013\u00a0a\u00a0non-emergency medical transportation company\u00a0based in Michigan.\u00a0They\u00a0provide services for patients to go to and from medical appointments.\u00a0In February of 2021, the company realized they\u00a0needed a reliable software to help keep things in order and\u00a0help them operate in a timelier\u00a0manner.\u00a0They were looking for\u00a0a quick way to make appointments\u00a0for their passengers\u00a0as well as an easy way to track the location\u00a0of their\u00a0drivers.\u00a0<\/p>

Up until February, Gemini Transportation Services\u00a0was\u00a0using spreadsheets\u00a0to keep track of all their data and to run their business\u00a0daily.\u00a0As\u00a0the company was\u00a0growing it became evident that they had\u00a0outgrown the\u00a0\u201cby hand\u201d\u00a0method\u00a0of organization and operation.\u00a0It was important to\u00a0Simmons\u00a0that whichever solution they decided to move forward with would make it easy for anyone in the office to complete any assignment \u2013 this way if the person normally responsible for a particular task was\u00a0not\u00a0available,\u00a0that task\u00a0would still be able to be completed.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

He\u2019s patient and we couldn\u2019t have asked for a better person to make our learning experience a joy\u2026\u00a0Alex scheduled zoom trainings\u00a0for us and allowed each one of us to explain what we were looking for to accommodate our needs. He made sure that my team understood each session before he moved on to the next. We all felt comfortable and relaxed asking questions and didn\u2019t feel rushed. He encouraged us to call or email at any time if we had questions or problems.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>

While many NEMT providers see the need to transition to a software many are hesitant to make the change.\u00a0Change is always daunting especially when you\u2019re trying to run a business and that change would require you to take time out of your day to get everyone up to speed. This was a concern for Gemini. Simmons told us,\u00a0\u201cAt first, everyone was a little skeptical about trying something unfamiliar and felt that it would be hard to learn and would slow their performance down. They quickly learned the program and find that\u00a0RoutingBox\u00a0has improved their performance and make it easy for them as well as the patients.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
