Granite worktops are a natural stone product and are highly durable and can be resistant to stains. Granite worktops come in a selection of colours and thickness. All of our granite worktops are fabricated to order for each kitchen individually. When you buy your granite worktops from Kitchens4u.ie we personally lead you through process for start to finish. Cleaning your granite worktops can be done using soap and water or a mild bleach like Milton. It is not advisable to put hot utensils on any worktop surface. Granite is a natural material that is taken from the earth. It is more expensive than quartz and is highly durable which is a factor for those with heavy traffic kitchens.

There are lots of colours to choose from when you are looking for granite but the most popular colours are the blacks and the white which have been around for years and see timeless.

They say that granite is heat resistant. But our advice is that you should never put a hot pot or pan directly on worksurface as you will shock the material and over time you may even crack or discolour the material. Always us a cutting board or glass board.

Marble and Granite kitchen countertops are very popular and have a great selection of colours available to most kitchen worktop fabricators. In saying that Quartz has become a very popular alternative and less expensive that the Marble and Granite in the last 10 years or so. There are also more and more designs and colours coming available in the quartz.
